Course contents

Web design for beginners covers the following topics:

  • What do you need to make a web site: An overview over servers, applications and web hosting
  • Tools for web design: Text editors, Dreamweaver, Photoshop
  • Markup and tags: How does the web work
  • Basic HTML tags: headers, body, headlines, paragraphs, lists
  • More tags: Images, links and multimedia
  • Tables: Displaying data in rows and columns
  • Forms: Allowing your visitors to send data
  • Styling you web pages with CSS and testing on different browsers

The course is very hands on and you get to build a web site from start to finish during the course teaching you all the tools and techniques you need to know to build successful web sites.

You should be an IT professionals with at least 5 years experience in your chosen field and have some training experience (even though this is not essential as training can can provided).
